Thank You (for Just Doing Your Job)

The Power of a Thank You

Thank You (for Just Doing Your Job)

Why should anyone be thanked for doing their job? I always laugh when I hear this statement – but when you google the word gratitude, there are so many articles written about this topic in the workplace that it is astounding how something so small can make such a huge impact in a person’s day.

One of my favorite articles on the topic is this column on workplace gratitude. In it, psychotherapist Amy Moran outlines the benefits of expressing gratitude at work, and how to do it authentically. And remember, the  next time you appreciate a job well done, feel free to tell that person!
